Big Sky Waiver Respite Care

Who qualifies

Big Sky Waiver members whose care is normally given by an unpaid caregiver. Respite is short-term care, such as part of a day, a weekend or a vacation period, that relieves the person who normally gives the care. It can be given in the member's home, another private home, or settings such as an adult residential setting, a hospital or a licensed nursing facility.

Respite care is only used to relieve a caregiver who is not paid. Big Sky Waiver eligibility itself is set out above, and the waiver has a waiting list.
